Putter comes with signature “hidden ball - retrieval aperture” beneath the head of the putter to relieve you of the need to bend those achy knees and backs to pick up your golf balls out of the hole or off of the green. How it Plays Great pendulum motion and superior moment of inertia provided by the brass soleplate gives the ball more rotation than similar weighted putters Unique physics allow golfers command and control with minimal effort thus providing a very stable stroke. Copyrighted "Martini" ball sightlines helps golfer line up shots with remarkable accuracy. Very accurate on distance and direction control for short, medium and long range putts. Ball Retrieval We bend over enough in our daily lives be it literally or figuratively, so why have to bend over on a golf course to pick up a ball, especially when your knees or back are howling like a mad dog? Our Fearsome Foursome putters come with a “hole in every one” that is actually a patented (hidden) ball retrieval aperture under the putter head that not only lifts a ball off of the green, but out of the hole without dinging the cup! There are a few other putters out there with a similar feature, but few if any can lift the ball out of the cup, and most look like pooper scoopers instead of highly efficient, handcrafted wood and brass masterpieces like the Fearsome Foursome putter series. We have even designed a small tee-sized hole in the back of the hitting plate to help the “emotionally dynamic” golfer extract the ball if he or she has put a bit too much pressure on it while retrieving the ball. Simply place your tee in the hole and a slight jimmying or hammer tapping motion will free the ball (see our instructional video). Save your knees, save your back and add years to your golf game while eliminating your handicap in more than one way! Raabatini Alignment Aid Aside from great music, the redefining of our culture, and man walking on the moon, the 60’s brought us other revolutionary ideas and innovations, some well known and others, nearly forgotten. The great game of golf would not be spared this renaissance of creativity. Arnold Palmer, one the game’s most legendary players was instrumental in the creation of a class of irons that changed the way golf club makers would design clubs for a generation. The brand was called “Axiom™” and the revolutionary feature, although subtle, was in the form of grooves that made it easier for the golfer to swing the club in the proper plane thus improving performance. This unique optical element ushered in an era of club design that still exists to this day. What was once old is new again, and in a world of infinite possibilities and variations on a theme, we have taken this whole concept of performance enhancing optics to a new level. The unique Martini Alignment Putter Aid© icon, (glass alignment aid) draws your eyes to the center of the putter face, creating the optical illusion of an arrow guiding the putter to the ball, and sending the ball on a center-focused path to the hole. The optical illusion is quite simple but effective. For golfers who prefer a more basic ball alignment aid, our putters also come with the standard 3-line alignment pattern. Care How to Care for Raabatini wood putters Since wood putters are more fragile than other putters made of steel or various alloys, proper maintenance is essential. Step 1 Keep your Raabatini putter cover on your putter head whenever the putter is not in use so to avoid damage caused by clanging against other clubs in your bag. This will also keep most moisture and dirt from affecting the putter or collecting in the aperture. Step 2 Do not bang your putter on the ground in disgust or anger because you can damage virtually any club, not just the putter. Step 3 Keep your putter dry if you have been playing on a wet course. Be sure to towel dry the putter within the aperture as well. Step 4 Every 6+ months or when needed, take a piece of fine grain sand paper and sand in a clockwise direction along the inside lip of the brass aperture to guarantee there is enough friction to pick up the ball every time. If you purchase a putter that is not initially picking the ball up, or has stopped doing so at some point, simply apply sand paper as mentioned and the problem will be remedied. Step 5 Clean putter heads with a very gentle soapy water and use wood polish if so desired but DO NOT apply to brass hitting surface or aperture (hole in bottom). Step 6 Thoroughly dry the putter head with a very soft cheesecloth so to avoid scratching or pocking of wood surface, Step 7 Use water-proofing wood wax to keep moisture away from your putter head but don’t let it get in or around the aperture or on the brass hitting surface. Lightly coat the putter head, do not apply heavy wax coats as the putter weight can be affected.
